C2C Ver #1
One or more of the comm devices are not connecting?
If MORE THEN ONE of the comms is not connecting the best way to solve this issue is to reset from the MASTER Comm unit. Turn the MASTER Comm OFF and then back ON to see if it reconnects. If the problem is still occurring then RESET all of the units by turning OFF and ON. (Please note you may have to turn it off and on multiple times).
If ONLY ONE of the comms is not connecting turn it OFF and then back ON until it reconnects. (Please note you may have to turn it off and on multiple times),
If the problem is still occurring make sure that the device is displaying ‘TALK’ Mode. If it is NOT displaying ‘TALK’ Mode go to step (1.). If it IS displaying ‘TALK’ Mode go to step (2.).
If the device is NOT displaying ‘TALK’ and is also displaying ‘LCK’ on the screen then you will need to take the device out of ‘LCK’. To do this hold simultaneously the ‘MODE’ and ‘MUTE/TALK’ buttons for 3 seconds or until ‘LCK’ is no longer displayed.
Press and hold the ‘MUTE/TALK’ button to activate ‘TALK’ Mode. If ‘TALK’ is still not displayed then call the points of contact immediately.
2. If ‘TALK’ is displayed but you are unable to receive audio or no one can hear you when talking call points of contact immediately.
Crackling noises or dull/quiet voices.
If you are hearing crackling noises or can only faintly hear the other umpires talking through the comms then it is likely an issue with sweat or moisture in the earpiece. At this stage call the points of contacts to talk you through how to remove and fix this issue.
Having connection issues throughout game?
Ensure that the ‘MASTER’ Comm is being worn by a field umpire so that connection is strong between umpires.
